What do baby flutters feel like? First time mom

What did it feel like for you when you first felt flutters or the baby moving? Also later in the pregnancy do the kicks get painful at all? I’m excited but also nervous about what it’ll feel like.

So I’m 17 weeks pregnant today and Im very eager to feel the baby move. Early this morning I was in the fetal position on my side relaxing when I felt almost like a muscle spasm like feeling right where the baby is in my pelvic area, but it was under the skin. I know it’s where the baby is because I use the Doppler often (my first pregnancy was a miscarriage so the Doppler calms me down) and baby always seems to like to stay in the one spot low and to my left. It didn’t hurt or anything just caught me off guard, could that be the baby? I haven’t felt it since, but if it was the baby can’t wait to feel it again 😁
