How soon after can you take a test?

I’m wondering how many DPO, or fertilization would you get the most accurate home test? I’m so eager to find out.

Just depends. You don’t implant until 6-12 dpo so if you implanted on 6dpo the earliest you could get a positive is 8dpo but if you implant on 12dpo you won’t test positive until 14dpo. That’s why they suggest you test at the day of missed period.

With both my healthy babies, I didn’t test until the day of my missed period and I’m glad. There was no squinting or wondering if it’s maybe possibly positive. It was just a definite line. You’ll see in a lot of the posts on here it’s people testing earlier than that and just left wondering anyway and feeling tortured while everyone tells them to test again in 2 days. So while it can definitely be difficult to wait, it’s so nice to take a test and just know yes or no and not be in limbo. Good luck!!
