Any mamas with hypothyroidism ?

Curious to see if there’s any mama in here with that condition .. I am 5wks 2 days and from I’ve heard having this condition while pregnant is tricky .. I had the condition prior to becoming pregnant and take my medicine everyday .. with my first child I didn’t have it so I am a bit concerned that with it it may cause difficulties and concerns.. any advice or tips would be appreciated ❤️

I have both Hashimoto's (hypo) and Graves (hyper), I often switch between the two. I went into remission of graves my first pregnancy. I had to take thyroid hormones all throughout my second. My endocrinologist says while rare it does happen and to be monitored every 3-4 weeks. With my twins he had a blood draw done every 2.

I took meds through my last pregnancy and am currently 19 weeks with my second. I’ve had no issues whatsoever. My endocrinologist checks my thyroid levels every 3-4 weeks. I’d just recommend being consistent with your meds and blood work. Congratulations!

I developed post partum thyroiditis after my first pregnancy which turned into hypothyroidism. I am now 29 weeks pregnant with baby #2. I get blood drawn every 4-6 weeks and have had to have zero changes to my medication. Take your medicine regularly and see your endocrinologist on a regular basis. Best of luck!

I do- had it before during and after my pregnancy. My doctor always said as long as you stay in top of your medicine and get blood work regularly, you’ll be fine

I have Hashimoto’s/hypo because of it (had it pre pregnancy) and am currently 25 weeks. I did have to bump up my usual dosage of levothyroxine a fair amount due to pregnancy. But I’ve remained on this updated dosage so far. I still find I have a baseline of fatigue (story of our lives with thyroid disease 😜) but overall have felt good. I go every 5-6 weeks for lab work and then follow up with my dr.
