Am I in a toxic relationship?

He is suspicious about everything I do and has no trust in me. I have to text him all day because he gets upset and says it’s “sus” if I’m not responding. I can’t hang out with my friends which I don’t have anymore because I’ve had to put so much energy into him and I can’t make new friends because if I try to go out and meet new people it starts an argument. He says I need to be better at respecting him and making him comfortable in the relationship.. constantly says I’m pushing him away when my response is “dry” because I’m doing something that I told him I was doing (like working on a puzzle which I love to do). I have to text him when I leave my house and when I get to where I’m going or he gets upset. I know I should leave but I’m so scared of being alone because I don’t have any friends anymore so I feel like I have to stay. I get lonely very easily. And I feel bad because he has such bad trust issues I feel that if I leave I’m just going to prove his point..
