Tantrums

I know, I post about this often lol.

My sons daycare has finally been voicing to me lately that my son is struggling. With transitions, tantrums, basically doing anything is a struggle for him and it takes him a lot longer than other kids to go from one activity to another. He gets escalated quickly and will scream, cry, etc. I am thinking of maybe getting him assessed as his 3rd birthday is a month away. We are doing all the things I have been told to do- offer 2 choices, validate feelings, distract him, make transitions fun, use timers. Is anyone else going through this? My son can speak fine- although maybe not as social as other toddlers his age. He prefers to play alone but likes adult company. I’m worried something is off. Literally every day is like Groundhog Day.. all I can do to survive is get him in the car for daycare and get him into bed at night. Every other minute with him is exhausting. Has anyone had their child assessed?
