Fertile discharge

Hello! I’ve been so confused about ovulation lately! I had my first babe 14 months ago and have been back on my consistent cycle. My cycles are longer now than before, 34 days long. I know like the week that I’m ovulating, but I can never differentiate pre-ovulation symptoms and when I’m actually ovulating. I know I can use ovulation tests but I’m also not too interested in getting that invested in all of it (I don’t want to be let down if it doesn’t happen for us) and just want to let things happen. Anyways, it starts with LOTS of discharge and a more watery, but egg white consistency. From there, it gets to be kind of wet, egg-white, but also jelly-like if that makes sense and I have bigger clumps of that. So my question is, which is ovulation?
