Name help - is it weird to name my daughter Isabel is our dog’s name is Bella?

I stupidly wasted a good name on my dog when we got her almost 13 years ago. I love the name Isabel, particularly Izzy as a nickname. But our dog’s name is Bella. Granted our dog wont live forever but it still feels weird to me. Thoughts?

They are different names to me. If you called her Isabella it would be weird but Isabel is different to Bella and a beautiful name ❤️😍

I don’t know if I have an answer, but our 10 year old dog is named Nova and when we had our first I really liked the name Norah, but put it on my “save for if I have another girl after the dog dies list” 😂

I don’t think so. I had a dog named Max, he did live with my dad after he attack another dog in my neighborhood. Got pregnant and named my son Maddox. Max passed away about 8 months ago and my son is 4. My dad called my son Max for the longest time lol. But even I call our puppy my sons name all the time and Vice versa. And his name is Benny. Not even close to Maddox!! Do what feels right to you!
