Setting boundaries
Hello!
I’m now 28wks 3days and feel like it’s a good time to really start setting boundaries with family and friends for when my little boy arrives. Does anyone have advice for this? Fortunately, I live on the otherside if the country from family so I don’t have to worry about surprise visits or anything like that. However, I know family will want to visit and still want to be involved as much as possible. How do I politely tell people things like: please don’t post pictures of my child before I get the chance to, please do not announce his name before I can, etc. Also a really big one for me is not allowing drinking around the baby, but we have family members who drink. How do I set the boundary that you cannot do that in my house without sounding overbearing? This is my first child and I don’t want to alienate anyone but I also want to be firm in my boundaries. Any advice is welcome (obviously please don’t be mean lol I’m very emotional)
