Is period pain normal?

I’m talking about pain that goes away after ibuprofen and a heating pad.

I have periods that are pretty painful. The pain wakes me up in the middle of the night and I won’t feel better till I take a pain reliever.

Recently, I keep seeing tik toks of registered drs and others saying period pain is actually not normal and our society normalized it.

They claim you should figure out why your periods are so painful and fix it.

I just always thought they were uncomfortable and painful.. never thought it could mean something is wrong? Now I’m all over thinking this is why I haven’t gotten pregnant even though we aren’t actively trying but also not actively preventing either… and for the 2 months we did try.. nothing happened.. idk? Any of know more about this?

(This is also coming from people who do not believe in epidural or bottle feeding-Atleast what I have noticed lol)
