Must Need Baby Items

Question

Hello everyone! I am getting some last minute shopping done this weekend and I wanted to know what items you think are needed for baby or me that I should 100% have. I want to make sure I’m not missing anything. Any items you have or have used with previous kids that I should 100% buy. I’ve only gotten basic items so far so any suggestions are extremely helpful. I am a first time mom so I’m wanting to cover all my bases. I have looked up lists online but I want to hear some personal recommendations. Thanks in advance! I’m having a boy 😊

If you plan to use bottles I recommend Lifefactory. They’re lead and cadmium free unlike some other brands 😬 Also I couldn’t survive without Woolino sleep sacks or my Hatch sound machine. Other helpful items are an air purifier, humidifier, Nosefrida, play gym (Lovevery), changing pad liners, and a good baby carrier. If you have a registry through Amazon don’t forget to add cleaning items like nontoxic dish soap, laundry detergent, etc because you get a discount on them.

Butt rash? Chapped lips? Eczema? Cut? Hangnail? Cub rub? Ingrown nail? Tick bite? I could go on... but its the only ointment you will need for baby.

If your baby takes a pacifier these are so helpful to clip on them so you won’t have to be running to wash the paci a millions time a day when they drop it on the floor! and tons of burp bibs

Something that's not so obvious, I recommend getting a salt rock lamp or other night light for those late night feedings. The lamps are too bright, they wake baby up and you don't want to add to day/night confusion. I have one in my room and one in the baby's room. It's part of our bedtime environment. I'd also recommend a good white noise machine (dreamegg), swaddles, diaper pail (ubie), and baby bouncer (babybjorn)

Some kind of Velcro swaddle wrap. You’re not going to want to mess with swaddling with a muslin blanket once the sleep depravation kicks in 🤣
And I’d have two different brands of diaper and two different brands of diaper cream on hand just in case babe is sensitive to something. It’s crazy to have to run out to the store in those early days.
