Period 1 week late, BFN at 5 days, spotting day period due

This is the first time I’m writing on here but I want to know if anyone had a similar experience. The day my period was due (or it may have been the day before) I wiped and had ONE episode of spotting so I immediately put in a tampon. From then on I had NO bleeding. I tested on the day of my period, 3 days after and 5 days after and all BFNs!

I’ve had no symptoms other than being irritable, an increase in urination and some cramping prior to my period. I did not experience my usual PMS symptoms like acne, “period poop” or the usual cramping I receive.

I plan to go to the doctor soon to get a blood test but anyone experience something similar and was it due to a late ovulation or a late BFP? Thanks!
