First Time Mom Registry Questions

Okay so I've been asking around with family and friends, but wanted to get others opinions too. What things do you wish you had put on your registry and what things do you wish you hadn't put on it?

My SIL thought about down the road which I think was super smart. Toddler plates, sippy cups, utensils, bibs, things like that! Also, extra sheets and mattress protectors - you will get use out of them more than you know. Convertible car seat even if you plan on starting with an infant one, and two infant car seat bases if you want one for your car and dads

If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn’t have registered for or bought a specific tummy time mat or a bassinet. Tummy time was 99% of the time just on a blanket on the floor because I didn’t want her to spit up on the tummy time mat, and my daughter hated her bassinet, I wish I would’ve just used the upper setting on the pack n play for that. She ended up sleeping better in her crib than in the bassinet. I didn’t buy a bottle warmer and I wish I had. I’m glad I put some older baby/toddler items on the registry like a convertible car seat—we were able to make that purchase with the registry completion coupon. I also added stuff to my registry after my shower that I was able to buy with the discount coupon, like nursing bras, nursing pads, things like that.

I wish I didn't put clothes on the registry. After I gave birth people ONLY gave me clothes and it seems like people still 18 months later only give clothes as gifts. I also wish I didn't get a Diaper Genie (a trash can would work just as well), nursing gear (I only used coconut oil, Kindred Bravely bras, and a free pump through my insurance), and a baby bath tub (my kid refused to like baths until 6 months and so I bathed with her and it didn't get much use). 
The items I'm glad I had on the registry are the following: Car seat, high chair, jogging stroller, swaddles (Swaddle Me arms up swaddles were the best for my kid), and even though no one bought them diapers, wipes and creams are food to have on there.

Wish I didn’t put the doc a tot on there. It’s not safe for sleep so it’s basically an overpriced pet bed lol.

Glad I had on the registry:
Diaper pale (my dog goes through garbages)
Baby dome - it’s a safe sleep place and portable
Baby delight bouncer - so easy to move around the house or bring on the go
Skip hop travel changing station (my favorite).
Didn’t need it:
Brand new changing table - we found a dresser with the same dimensions and anchored a changing mat on top. So much more affordable and it’s amazing quality. I definitely love having a changing table.
Bassinet - we transitioned to the crib at 2 months since my daughter was doing 180s in her sleep.
Wipe warmer - just a normal wipes dispenser is good 
Frida mom booger thing - it was too big and didn’t work
Bottle warmer - I reheat breast milk under hot water from the sink
Clothes - everyone give your clothes and non of them are the ones from your registry 
Snuggle me - used it for the first month or 2 but only if I was sitting directly next to my baby since it’s not a safe sleep product. At 4 months, it’s now useless. The baby dome was a much better choice.

Pack n Play instead if bassinet. Aldo didn't need carseat cover, I just use a blanket. For sure need nose Frida and electric nail file.
