Traveling/ Advice
Hello everyone. I’m 21 with a 1 year old (18 months old). I want to travel down to North Carolina with my daughter. It’s about a 14hr trip. My living situation isn’t the best and so I’m currently living with my grandparents. Every time I mention taking my daughter out of state, my grandmother tells me no and that she’s looking out for my daughters well-being. She tells me no for a lot of things when it comes to decisions with my daughter. Am I a bad parent for wanting to do a 14hr drive with my daughter? On another note, my boyfriend is stationed in NC for the Marine’s. We’ve only gone out twice. Once before he left to go back to NC and then last week I stayed down there without my daughter for a weekend since my grandmother wouldn’t let me take her. I wanted to go see him again for a weekend in March and my grandmother told me I was “rushing into things”. I dont see how I’m rushing when my boyfriend is 960 miles away and I’ve only seen him twice.
