Strange cough

Little one is just about 6 months old. The past few days she’ll do this random cough through out the day like an ahh ahh sound. She’ll also make a “gaging” sound as if she is trying to spit something up. There is no rhyme or reason on time or during/after a feeding. I don’t believe it has anything to do with a cold or feeling under the weather but it’s been a few days so we are starting to become concerned. Reaching out to DR today but just curious if anyone else has experienced something similar?
