Confused

I was supposed to start my period on Saturday, all I did was spot lightly for 2 hours, nothing else. Today I'm 2 days late and have been experiencing mild cramps since yesterday. I'm not exactly sure what to do. I don't know if I should wait to see if my period comes and what day I should test on if it doesn't come. I haven't been able to talk to my family about it, despite my younger sister having 2 sons, because even though I'm 21 they don't know that I had sex recently since I'm not in a relationship (it was a childhood 'friend' who started ghosting me after we hooked up) so having people to talk to about this would mean the world to me.
