Nipple irritation

What could be a reason as to why my nipple is irritated? i’m not pregnant, i finished my period a week ago and eve says my fertile window is in 3 days. last night i noticed my right nipple was itchy and i went to bed and this morning it was still kinda itchy but it was more irritating than itchy. its the end of the day and it’s still a bit irritating. could this be something bad? is it normal?
