At my wit’s end with my almost 6-week-son

I am a second time and feel like a first time mom. My son wants to be held all day and I can usually put him down at night except close to 4-5am when he wakes up and wants to stay in bed with me.

I use a baby carrier during the day so I have my arms free but he is now fighting the carrier and only sleeps in my arms (doesn’t want to lie besides me in bed) or in the stroller. He wakes up every 10 minutes and is exhausted, cries a lot from sheer exhaustion.

My daughter had a similar period but not as bad as that.

Last night was the worst: he refused to lie down in bed at 4am and only wanted the arms while I was sitting up: I could not sleep!

I am honestly losing it. Any advice is welcome. Anybody else in the same situation?
