When to start washing baby clothes, sheets, etc.

I’m only 28 weeks pregnant today, but wondering when everyone starts washing baby clothes, towels, etc? I have high blood pressure so I already know I’ll be getting induced around 37-39 weeks but doctor said my goal right now is to make it to 34 weeks. Wondering if I should start earlier than most?

Do it now while you still have some energy left! I do suggest saving older baby clothes until you know if your babe is going to fit into them. I washed everything for my first, she came out a preemie and I wish I could've exchanged long sleeve stuff for short sleeve because her weight didn't line up to when she should've worn those clothes, you never know how big or small baby will be!

I have been getting hand me down clothes since about 15 weeks. When ever I have enough for a small load, I wash them and then put them away by size.

Doesn't matter when. Just do it whenever you feel up to it. The earlier the better so you can just get it out of the way and have it ready. I personally like to do things early so I can forget about it and relax during those hard last weeks.

I’ve been doing a load everytime i get enough clothes/sheets/blankets. I know after the baby shower I’ll have a lot so I’ve been trying to keep up!

Just washed a load of 0-3 month stuff today and washed the cloth diapers. A couple weeks ago I washed all sheets/blankets. Starting to organize everything in baskets on the changing table. I’ll be 30 weeks tomorrow.

I know with my first pregnancy I started washing all his clothes and blankets around 35 weeks and ended up going into natural labor at 37 weeks. So I’d suggest probably starting any time from 32-35 weeks.
