Have you taken yourself off of Birth control?

I’m thinking of taking myself off of it. I genuinely have no desire to have sex and I’ve lost weight. I just don’t want any bad side effects if I were to do this. Because I for sure haven’t had a chance to get pregnant and I’ve had no acne since. But the decreased libido has messed with my relationship and I hate it.

I have. You will have bleeding after coming off of it. But just because this one birth control wasn’t for you doesn’t mean they are all bad. Talk to your doctor.

I didn’t experience any change after stopping mine. I was on the pill

I think the severity of side effects depends on how long you've been on the pill. I was on it for two years and when I came off I had bad headaches for about a month but that was it. I use the FAM method now and am never going back on the pill again because of the negative side effects.

I started the pill a little while back in feb last year and the next day diarrhoea constantly everyday. Turns out that means the pill wasn’t actually working for me even tho it was in my system it was classed as a missed pill so yep. I took myself right off n refuse to ever go on anything else again
