I do not know what this means is it implantation bleeding or the start of a period which was supposed to start the 1st of this month....

If your period was supposed to start the 1st of the month, did you not take a test? Implantation is only chalked up to be the cause of any early pregnancy spotting or bleeding, when the source or cause any be found or determined, and doesn’t appear to pose any increased risk of complications..This is fresh, active bleeding, and could be due to a drop in Progesterone. When it completely plummets, it triggers your flow (period).
If you’re not tracking ovulation at least by way of OPK, and solely relying on the app, the predictions could easily be way off. If you think you could be pregnant, then just take a test. If it’s positive, report this to your Doctor. Good luck!

This is what my implantation spotting looked like and it was 4 days before my period.

Probably period sometimes mine start out with light pink spotting and sometimes it starts out with bright red blood.

I'd guess period and this is probably prespotting.
Or it could be a hormone thing
