Is 4 months too young for a highchair?

Hi all, 
My little man is 4months and super keen to be sitting up. He is holding his head up very well and getting better with balance. Is 4months too young for a highchair?

If babe can sit in it safely. Don’t use it to just leave them in it. Only use it to sit at the table with y’all while y’all eat. 
It is good for development for babe to watch the family eating and have them feel included. This will help them be more interested in food when you start solids at 6 months.

As long as he’s sitting up on his own it’s fine. If not, I would wait. My daughter was sitting up on her own at four months, so she sat in her highchair a lot.

Just watch him closely and don't give solids until 4 months. Their stomach is still maturing at that stage

No. Even before my kids were eating solids, they’d sit in the high chair and play while we ate. If they have head control and can sit it’s fine.

Depends on the high chair. Ours reclines and has a tall back for head support but we waited until 5-6 mo to use it just because that’s when we started solids.

We had baby in his high chair from the moment he was awake enough to enjoy it.

We did.  But she was too small so we rolled hand towels and stuffed them beside her for support.  In terms of her neck and head, she was strong enough.

Had my son in one at 4 months. He loved sitting in it while we were at the table. We would give him toys to play with. He has always wanted to be a part of everything.
