Crib or wait

Shiana

I know it's highly contested, but I have been co-sleeping with my baby since he was born 8 months ago. I'm trying to decide if it's time to get his own crib to sleep in or wait until he is big enough for a toddler bed. I'm debating because of how expensive cribs, mattresses and even conversion kits are. Not only that, but my DS tries to climb on everything and stands up on his own. I'm afraid he will be able to climb out or close to out and end up hurting himself. So, regardless of your stance on co-sleeping, would it be better to get a crib and bite the bullet, or continue co-sleeping because he can climb and likes to be on the move already. Co-sleeping has been the best and nothing has happened, I just also wonder if he would sleep through the night better if he had his own bed area. Thanks for the help.
