Colposcopy Lingering smell

3 weeks ago I had a Colpo due to a couple of abnormal Pap smears. I can still smell the vinegar smell from the colpo exam. I smell it every time I go to the bathroom. It’s been 3 weeks. My doctor said it should’ve went away by now and advised me to douche. Well, I just started my period so I can’t. Has anyone ever dealt with the lingering smell of vinegar and the other solution used during a colpo exam? My probiotics aren’t working. I’m showering more than usual. It’s driving me nuts because I’m not used to having an odor. It’s making me self conscious. Idk what to do. Please help.
