Infant or convertible car seat?

Ok so I have a 6 week old, I bought a used infant car seat and I hate it. I have a graco extend2fit for my 2 year old and love it. I’m debating whether to get a new infant car seat for my newborn (I don’t want to spend more than $150) or just get another graco extend2fit for him and use that since he hates the car seat anyway. He won’t let me carry him in one or sit in one on the attachment for the stroller. I have an infant insert for my stroller so he can go in that. Which would you get?

The convertible so you only have to buy 1 instead of 2, and especially cause he doesn’t even like car seat. Also, I’d recommend to be cautious of buying used car seats. Reason being, you never know if they were in an accident and if they were, they are no longer safe to use. And when in crash they can still look brand new, but it’s not worth the risk. (I was in accident and car seat didn’t look damaged at all but still bought a new one to be safe) also car seats expire after so long. You can google all this. Not trying to criticize you, just letting you know incase you didn’t. But a used car seat is better than no car seat.

I would just switch to the convertible. It sounds like he doesn’t like the infant seat anyway so why buy a new one? A properly fitted rear facing convertible seat is just as safe as the infant seat.

It sounds like he probably wouldn't enjoy another infant seat anyways, just go for the convertible because you'll have to buy one anyways.
