I need advice!

Hi ladies! I need some insight…

My period was supposed to start on the 10th. On the 6th & 7th, I had mild spotting. On the 8th, I actually started. That was Tuesday. Typically by Saturday it would be completely over. It slowed down but didn’t end completely. Well, it’s now the 17th and for the past three days I have basically had full on bleeding, as if it’s the first two days all over again. I have very regular periods, I rarely have spotting before/after, so I don’t know what’s going on, but I’ve had bleeding of some degree for the past 11 days.

I’m actively trying to get pregnant, so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it, but a friend of mine recommended I take a test just to be sure. So I took several of course, and all are positive.

I’m nervous now. I am so elated to see these positive tests! But I’m afraid to be happy in case it doesn’t end well…

Thoughts??

Has anyone else experienced anything similar and still carried a full-term, healthy baby? Or am I likely in the process/going to miscarry?

I went to the ER near my house. They did blood work and a pregnancy test, both confirming I am pregnant. The doctor said the bleeding could simply be implantation bleeding and wasn’t super concerned about it since it wasn’t more than a pad a day worth of blood. An ultrasound tech came in and said she can’t see anything through the external or internal ultrasound device. The doctor concluded I am 1-2 week pregnant which is basically impossible to see. He said whenever there is bleeding in the first 20 weeks, it’s considered a “threatened miscarriage”, to start taking prenatal vitamins immediately, and to get into an obgyn in 2-3 weeks when I’ll be further along and go from there.

EDITED TO ADD:

The bleeding has pretty much stopped so I took another test just because and it came back negative. I took two more just to be certain and all are stark white. My husband and I are devastated.
