Experiences with Evening Primrose Oil?

I’m 38 weeks tomorrow, wanting to know if anyone that used EPO could weigh in on some questions I have. 
Did it prevent tearing? Did it help you dilate? Make labor easier? Let me know all about it!

I took it by mouth only and believed it helped me. No tears or pain after delivering twins and one was pushed out breech feet first.

I use EPO vaginally from about 35/36 on (or with babies 4,5 and will with 6) . I don’t Ingest it. I’ve never tore . And my labor have always been quick but number 5 was by far the quickest … I was dilated to 3 at 38 weeks appt and he was born 38w 3 days . I was in labor for about an hour …. He was born in the hall of the hospital 😂 
I don’t really know if it had anything to do with it but I do feel like it helps soften cervix and prevent tearing . Don’t use it if you plan on having sex that night obviously and a panty liner the next morning is sometimes necessary

I didn’t rip with either birth but with my 2nd I used EPO and it was much easier. Not sure if it was the EPO or due to it being my 2nd birth lol but I think the EPO helped.

My dr used mineral oil on my perineum when she was stretching me, making room for the baby and I didn't tear :) 
I use epo now for this pregnancy, so I can't answer yet. This baby is smaller too so I'll probably be fine again.
