Long covid in toddler

Is anyone else dealing with long covid with any of their children? Or honestly even yourself if you have the answer or any advice! Is the pediatrician doing anything for it? My 2 year old tested positive 1/3 and got a horrible cough and congestion with it. After about 3-4 weeks of relentless cough that was choking him at night I took him in and his dr gave him amoxicillin. While on the antibiotics it cleared. Within a week of being off of them it came right back. So I took him back in after another week of up all night coughing. The next time we tried augmentin thinking maybe it would kick it. Again, cleared up on the antibiotics. Here we are a week later and he’s miserable again.😔 We obviously can’t keep him on long term antibiotics. I’ll be calling his dr back again to brainstorm with him and see what his next step is, just wondering if anyone else is in our boat and has any advice. My step mother is dealing with the same after a year and 3 months and hers has only cleared after taking antibiotics for a tooth infection and it came right back just like my sons.
