medications during pregnancy?

hannah

so, i just had my pregnancy confirmed the other day!! unplanned, but very exciting… but my mind is racing right now with a couple of big worries.

at the doctors, i listed off that i took propranolol for POTS, venlafaxine for panic disorder & anxiety, and 1mg of lorazepam a day for the same reasons.

last year, my mental health was at its lowest and it felt like a hole i’d never crawl out of… until i found support and coping skills, as well as a combo of medications that WORKED.

my worries are, i know especially venlafaxine and lorazepam are very frowned upon during pregnancy… but i just don’t know what to do. i feel like i can’t possibly risk my mental stability when it took so long and so many different things to get here, but i don’t wanna put my baby in any danger.

i’m terrified. are there very significant risks with these medications? i don’t want anything bad to happen to my baby. but i also don’t know if risking my mental health is really a safer option, either.

ANY thoughts or advice on this is welcomed. please.
