39+5 appointment disappointment

I had my last appointment with my OB today. Saw a different doctor than my normal doc. This guy delivered my first baby nearly 3 years ago. He is such a straight-shooter (I nearly decided to switch to have him.as my full time doc this time but decided not to). We chatted about scheduling induction as my regular doc suggested. He did a cervical check (0 dilation, 50% effaced). Then sent me for a growth scan. He told me that they don't recommend medical induction for VBACs because the risk of uterine rupture is much higher. He said they probably wouldn't do a balloon catheter on me because it would be too tough (I think it's just a bit to tight up in there! Lol). Baby is also large (msasuring over 9lbs..possicloser to 10). Essentially, he was hinting that, if this baby doesn't decide to come on his own in the next couple days, I will have to schedule a repeat c-section. I will have a call with my regular doc tomorrow to discuss further. In any case, I'm a bit sad today. I was really hoping get this one out the old fashioned way. I guess the bright side is that everything will be more on our schedule and I can get him out before my birthday on Wednesday!
