Can life circumstances and financial concerns prevent a man from falling in love?

My boyfriend dumped me at the weekend. He had some issues with money, low paid job, couldn’t afford a car, wasn’t in the career he wanted, couldn’t do anything because of money issues. He told me he didn’t love me and never fell in love. I hope it’s not something wrong with me, rather his life circumstances

I think someone in love would try to do everything in the power to make it work regardless of the circumstances. It doesn’t mean somethings wrong with you. It means the two of you weren’t compatible.

I do think so, yes. Some people would be top stressed about their material concerns to focus on a relationship. 
I've been turned down because a guy was poor, he came back after he was in a better financial position, but we had changed too much & I said no.
Yeah I don't think it's very helpful or correct to take someone turning you down personally. 
It can be circumstantial, but it can also be lack if compatibility, which isn't personal. It's reasonable that not every 2 people are compatible.
