Milk drying/lessening?

My baby is 9 days old and the past day or so my breasts have been soft and not leaking or feeling full like before. My baby’s also been trying to eat more, around every hour. I just feel like I’m drying up for some reason and it’s making me panic. Anyone else experiencing this? He was weighed at the dr today and they said his weight is fine but I still feel worried.

They may feel that way because your baby is eating so frequently! As long as they’re having enough wet and dirty diapers and gaining weight I wouldn’t worry too much.

Cluster feeding at it's finest. Baby is probably trying to increase your milk supply, thus eating more and causing your breasts to feel less full. The more you keep baby to the boob, the better the ability to increase your milk. As long as weight is increasing and baby is having enough wet and dirty diapers then you are good. Almost 3 weeks into breast feeding with my second and she can go an hour or two, some times a little longer between feeds during the day and then cluster feeds between 5 and 8 until she goes to bed around 8. Then she will wake up 2 or 3 times a night to eat until she is up for the day around 8am. My breasts are full in the night and in the am but get a lot more soft as the day goes on.
