I mean i think of it like this. Imagine u been working in a career and now youre at an awards dinner with the ceos and highest performers in your field… a comedian makes jokes about several people and then your wife… and u think the solution is to walk across the room in front of all your execs and physically assault the person in front of hundreds plus hundreds of thousands of people. 
      Both were wrong but physical assault especially publicly in front of your colleagues and the world 👀😩.

If Chris Rock knew about her health problem I think that was absolutely a terrible thing to say but it's possible he didn't know. I still don't think it would have been funny but health issues/struggles aren't funny. Will Smith was just wrong though. He laughed until he saw her reaction then decided to assault someone, yell at them, and curse them out in front of everyone? Ridiculous. I think it would have been appropriate to make a motion to stop and not joke further then when he has an opening (or even right then) pull him aside to talk to him (just to explain that she is struggling with alopecia and the joke he was trying to make was not appreciated) and let him know his joke was inappropriate. I would request a public apology. His acceptance speech of his award was hilarious when you think about his actions in that time though.

It's so Disgraceful that people act like that at something that used to be a very classy and respectful event. I haven't watched it for years and I doubt that I ever will again.
