Sons 1st birthday-are we going overboard?

My son is turning 1. He is my only child. For his birthday we’re renting a room(we can’t do it at our place) we have the smash cake&cupcakes ordered, someone to fill up the balloons since helium will be more fun for him, we have the big party theme bundle packages with a ton of theme matching decorations, we’re also matching the food to the theme as best as possible and we’re inviting family and friends. There’s going to be a group of 30 people. Are we going overboard? I know people say that their 1st birthday is mostly “for the parents” but I’ve never had present parents growing up(plus they always forgot about my birthday) so I never got to have a birthday party. I always said that when I have kids they’ll always have parties until they don’t want to anymore and I’m the type that loves to plan ahead of time and make it picture worthy. I know a lot of people also only invite their siblings/parents and not close friends that are involved with the baby. Is it weird if I invited my friends and their babies? I know he won’t remember it but we will, I want to give him everything I didn’t have and I guess I’m just scared that people will judge me if we have this big detailed party theme going on and are putting in “too much work” thoughts? Should I invite less people? Keep it more simple? Is it okay how it is?
