Should I message her first?

Made a post I believe in the parenting group about my stepMIL. 
Sum it up: she told me I shouldn’t be giving my daughter solids, I’m hurting her and her belly, she doesn’t know what kind of doctor would approve this at 6 months old, and whenever I send her pictures of my daughter trying new foods she thinks “oh my gosh why is she doing this!” Then I started telling her that it’s my daughter and she cut me off saying “I can’t” and hung up on me. 
So I texted her when she hung up:

I haven’t heard from her still, it kinda hurts.

Are you doing BLW? I can see the concern there if they aren’t familiar with it, I think when our parents had kids pretty much everyone just did purées in the beginning so if you’re doing blw she may be shocked and unaware it’s a thing now

First of all, do not let your MIL discourage you from doing BLW. My MIL wasn’t a fan of it either but both of our kids have done a wonderful job learning how to eat by BLW. My son was eating cheeseburgers at 10m old with ZERO TEETH. Everyone was always so impressed with them. Except my MIL. She chose not to say anything at all.. but if she ever had said something to me about my kids eating methods, I’d have shut her down immediately. 
It’s not appropriate for your MIL to make those comments. If she feels that way, she needs to either keep it to herself or have an adult conversation with you to learn more about BLW and be open to giving the concept a chance. She’s judging without understanding. So that’s her issue. Not yours.
