Exclusively BreastFeeding

How do I go about trying to exclusively breastfeed? I have been supplementing with formula for a month now and within the last week began pumping strictly every 2 hours. I am not making enough milk to fill him up right now but many have suggested to cut out bottle feeding to improve my chances of being able to just feed him at the breast. Is this true? I have spoken to a lactation consultant about how to improve my milk supply to begin this process but I don’t see her again for a week so I am not sure what to do! Please help!
