Is it wrong to use the name?

Question

So when I was pregnant with last baby my partners kid’s mom told me what name she planned to use if she was to have a girl. It happened to be a name that I have always liked but we had already chose a name for that baby. 
THIS IS THE IMPORTANT PART. 
She has very likely has already gone through menopause. And very likely won’t be having anymore kids. She has told me this herself. Is it wrong to use the name now? She told me this about 3 years ago. 
What about just using it as a middle name is that also wrong?

Why not just ask her if she would be cool with it just out of respect for her? 
To be sneaky and name your kid what she wanted to name hers and assume she can’t have kids so it shouldn’t matter is kind of a dick move.

It's a freaking name. Who cares. 
Use it if you like it. 
If she can have kids and wants to name her kid that. She can. She doesn't OWN any rights to that name. 
When I was pregnant with my 2nd, I announced his name and an old friend of mine messaged me saying how she's pregnant and was going to name her child that. And that she has always liked that name and I should of known... 
Like wtf?? 
For one, I don't recall her ever saying that. And oh well if she did.

Who cares if she wanted to use it or not. She isn't having any more kids also you don't owe her shit. If you like it and you both agree on the name then go for it. She has no right to dictate what you name your child.

So.... your boyfriend’s ex told you three years ago that she likes a name...? I’d use the name however you see fit and if she says anything or is mad, say you forgot because it was three years ago. 🤷🏼‍♀️ You shouldn’t not use a name on the off chance that she could have another baby and it could be a girl. What if she never has another kid? You should use the name you want, even if some acquaintance liked that name “first”.  All names have already been used tons of times, unless you’re going to get really out there and make up something. She doesn’t own a name, especially if she’s done having kids.

Nobody owns the rights to any name lolol use whatever name fits right 💕 it's sweet of you to be concerned but asking permission to use a name is really unnecessary.

It’s not okay. There are millions of names to choose from. What if she can still have kids? It’s rude to assume you know about someone else’s fertility. And what if the name has special meaning for her?
