Is this normal ?

I’m currently 33 weeks and have been dealing with preterm labor and contractions. My high risk checked my cervix and I’m 1cm dilated, 50% effaced and baby is engaged but her head is still movable. Well a few hours after my check I lost a lot of mucus plug. I mean a lot, probably all of it. Is this normal or something I need to tell my ob?

Talk to your doctor if you’re concerned. When I lost my mucus plug when I was in labor, there was blood. I felt my stomach tighten every contraction. I was 40 weeks though so I was ready. I’d be nervous about being close to labor at 34 weeks so definitely speak with the doctor

I had false labor with my second a month before my water finally broke! It’s normal. If you’re timing them and they’re consistent go to L&D.

i say it’s normal, you lose your plug throughout your pregnancy and it regenerates but as long as there was no blood with it (your bloody show) it doesn’t mean labor is coming. even when you have your bloody show labor could take up to 48 hours after to start so i think you’d have time to figure it out
