My husband and I just had our offer accepted on a house. We are a couple thousand short for all the pre-closing expenses. We had more than enough saved up, but something came up and we had to dip into our savings a little.

My husband is going to try to pick up a couple more shifts, but that may not be enough. I really need to find a way to help come up with the extra money.

I don't have the option of picking up extra shifts. Neither of us can get another job since we will be moving out of town in two months. We don't have anything we can sell. I thought about doing door dash or something like that, but right now is not a good time for that in our area. People aren't ordering through these services much right now and the gas prices wouldn't make it worth it.

Once we have the house, we will be fine financially. It's just all these upfront costs that we are having a little trouble with. The way the housing market is right now, and with our budget, we can't let this house go. We HAVE to come up with the extra money and make this work.

We are already cutting things out of our budget, like eating out, canceling subscriptions, planning cheaper meals, only buying necessities. I feel like I have exhausted every option, but there has to be something out there I haven't thought of.

Edit to add: we will not be paying the closing cost, the seller is covering that. We have the earnest money to pay today, then inspection and appraisal, and the down payment. The earnest money will end up being put towards the down payment and the inspection cost will be reimbursed at closing by the seller.
