Practice breathing issues
Hi, all!
I’m 33+3 and had my first NST today. It was supposed to be a 15-30 minute test, but turned into being over an hour with me needing an ultrasound because baby wasn’t very active during the test. I felt him moving just fine (and can right now)!and the ultrasound showed that as well and his heartbeat was strong and steady throughout. He just took forever to take his practice breaths.
He finally did, but doc said if it takes that long again, I’ll have to be monitored for some hours at L&D. The plan was to always induce me at 38-39 weeks due to medical issues (T1 diabetes), but now she’s saying I definitely won’t to 39 weeks and mentioned that if it shows he will be safer being monitored in NICU than in utero, it’ll be even sooner than he’s full term.
She explained it all to me and I understood and am not TOO concerned right now. Just wondering if anyone else has gone through this and been able to carry their baby to at least full term?
