Possible miscarriage?

I had my period on March 17 (preface that my cycles are always normal, 28-29 day cycles). I ovulated on March 30/31, so we tried. Then on April 8, I started bleeding again, a full week of bleeding, bright red, soaking tampons. Then 3 days ago, I decided to take a pregnancy test and it’s positive. I have no clue how or why since I literally bled like a normal period on April 8 for a week?? My doc won’t see me until May 6. I didn’t have any cramping when I bled, it just seemed like a normal period but obviously a week earlier then I was supposed to get it. Does anyone know what happened?? Is it possible that week of bleeding was a miscarriage?
