Hurts to have intercourse

When I first met my husband we had sex no problem. Now that I have gotten older and have had two kids it hurts to have sex. We foreplay a lot and even use a lot of lube but it just hurts the deeper he goes. I am currently breastfeeding and I have read that it drys you up. I have been to the doctor several times about this and each time they come up with something different. Idk what else to do. I love my husband and I just want to be intimate.
