My dream has always been to be self employed but have no idea where to start.

I had to leave my job due to some severe health problems and can’t see myself going back to a regular 9-5 for a long time. I’m an artist and photographer and would love to do something like that but just never had a great idea or a clear direction to go with it. Anyone have any suggestions? In the past marketing & time was what always set me back, but it’s hard to market to an audience when you don’t have a clear direction. Thanks.
