Ummm what?

So my best friend suffers from severe depression and anxiety. She was really stressed at work today and started crying. I texted my boyfriend and asked him if he would pray for her. He said yes and then proceeds to say “Shoot if you weren’t my girl she could be lol but I’m taken” she and him are friends on social media and she has already plainly told him that he isn’t her type. I trust her to the fullest extent. But idk how to feel about my boyfriend’s comment. I’m kinda offended and I plan to talk to him about it but I’m afraid of how this will go
