It’s a bit embarrassing but I was eating out at a restaurant and forgot to pay the bill like I just got up and left and they came after me lol. This ain’t the first time I’ve done something like this. I’ve been to therapy and my therapist says I don’t have it because I can concentrate for a long time while studying. I mean idk.

If you’re not remembering to pay your check when you leave a restaurant, that is a memory issue. You can’t really diagnose based just on that alone as poor memory can be a symptom of many things. Do you smoke weed? Take meds? Have anxiety? Just to name a couple of things besides adhd

No. Having a singular symptom does not mean you have ADHD, especially if your therapist is telling you that you don’t have it. ADHD is WAY more than just forgetting things.

I mean you can't diagnose off of this alone. If you really want a second opinion for add/adhd, I would encourage that. I always encourage multiple opinions if you don't feel the first one is getting you, but it may also just be that you're fixated on this and you're looking for a diagnosis instead of actually working on the things you need to work on.
