Stopping progesterone?

Hello! 
I am currently 12 weeks pregnant today! Whoo hoo! (In the past I miscarried 3 by the 6-8th week). My Dr has me on 400mg of progesterone and I was told once I hit 13 weeks I can stop taking it. I am SOOOO nervous to stop as I feel like the progesterone is the only reason that I've made it this far. 
I know the placenta is supposed to take over.. but how do we know that it actually does? 
Any advice ? I'm freaking out.

I was super nervous to stop my progesterone injections. But I listened to my doctor and stopped without weaning at 12 weeks and things have been fine. Currently 17 weeks. I have had previous miscarriages before as well.

My dr and pharmacy made sure that i weaned off of it, and not stopping suddenly. They had me take certain amounts per day for 1.5weeks

I was taking 400 mg daily and was kind of nervous to stop too. I stopped a week ago and had a check up yesterday everything was fine and baby had a strong heartbeat!

I stopped PIO and E2V (estrogen) at 11 weeks at my REs direction but my OB took labs to ease my mind for 3 weeks and my levels remained sufficient. If that would help ease your mind, maybe ask for some lab work?

My doc told me 14 weeks, but it was a few days before because I ran out. I’m 36 weeks now 🙂 congrats to you!!

This was me my first pregnancy - my OB said I could even stop at 10 weeks. Once I got to 13 weeks I weaned off of it and did it every 2nd day for a week and then stopped. No spotting or anything and my son is now 18 months.
