Not telling landlord about baby

Hey yall I’ve been trying to move out my baby daddy’s place now since February with no success.

We broke up in January but he said I could stay till I found somewhere. We have a 7 week old son.

I’ve viewed and made applications for over 10 properties and I have gotten the same response -“unfortunately landlord has decided to proceed with another offer.”

I have no adverse credit history. Pass affordability checks (I have maternity pay). And have even offered to pay 6 months rent upfront. I have been very transparent in my applications and always say it is for me and my newborn son.

I was talking to my friend yesterday about my struggle finding somewhere and she suggested applying to places and not disclosing the fact that I have a child. She said there’s a stigma around being a single baby mama and I might have better luck if I say it’s just for me.

I’m desperate to move so want to give this a go, so long as it doesn’t back fire. Do yall think this could cause problems? Bcos at some point my landlord would find out I have a baby in there. Would he/she be able to evict me bcos I didn’t tell them? I’m scared lol
