Would you stay with your partner if he didnt defend you against his family slagging you off?

So its happened twice where my other half family has been slagging me off and my other half hasn’t said anything to defend me. Don’t get me wrong i can fight my own battles but as his other half and I respected him i didnt say anything back because i didnt want to make his life worse with his family. Sorry i know it sounds pathetic 😔

Think about how your boyfriend will act in the future with his family.. I’ve had huge conflicts to my husband standing up to his mom concerning our kids and discipline. We almost ended our marriage over it. If you feel it could go that far, concerning serious matters… then seriously think about this.

Depends on circumstance. I am strong enough to defend myself and don't need anyone to do it for me. His family could be abusive or manipulative and he is just being quite as a result of being a victim. Not everything is black and white.

Nope. My husband blasted his mum before we even got married. And we also stopped speaking to her for a few months prior to the wedding. I encouraged him to continue a relationship with her on his own with me tho. 
Also his dad was asking inappropriate questions, about me being on birth control and my husband told him off infront of me and then made his dad apologise. 
If he didn’t do those things I would have left.

No and I would speak up for myself as well if he won’t. I had this issue before with my ex’s step dad  belittling me for my job (I was a dental assistant, meanwhile their son worked at a doggy daycare so I guess he is somehow better than me lol 😂🙄). I started being a bitch to them whenever they brought it up and then it suddenly stopped. I didn’t care though, I didn’t wanna be apart of some loser family like that anyway. So that was partially a reason I left him, but he also had a lot of other irritating personality characteristics. 
He might be nervous to stand up to his parents or something. Still doesn’t excuse it, but that might be why. Maybe talk first and then determine.

I did, because my husband has tried but his family are so terrible that they absolutely refuse to see they are in the wrong. They will instead twist it on him, me or manipulate him by saying things like "I'm obviously a terrible mother" and that sort of thing. I've witnessed with my own eyes how futile it is to argue with them over them badmouthing a person.

Some people have no shame and never taught manners.
If you're able to stand up for yourself then ask them what's the problem? And if it continues tell them you will not entertain it and walk away. Cut ties.
Don't let anyone disrespect you. Unless what they are saying is valid and or constructive criticism. Why wait for him to rescue you? Tell him and his family that you don't tolerate any type of abuse. Period.  If it continues walk away and end it with him.
You let people walk on you, they'll continue to mash your head until you're nothing but boiled squash.
