EDIT- no of course I didn’t make this. I was given this by a family member who I don’t trust.

You can’t really tell from a photo. You need to be able to feel the paper, see the security features. Does it have a water mark? Is the green in the 100s in the corner reflective?

Hold it up to the light and look for the watermarks . Using a pen is useless because if someone whitewashed a smaller denomination bill and made it a 100 it will show as real.

Use a currency pen if you have one. If the mark turns a dark brown it’s fake. 
If you’re genuinely concerned it’s fake and not trying to test how real your fake money looks, take it to a local financial institution and ask them to verify it for you.

Hold it up to the light and see if you can see the water mark or security marks. What does it feel like? Most fake bills feel thicker than regular bills. Make sure the image is center. Some bills are printed slightly Crooked. You can try using the counterfeit pen but on bills older than 1950 or 1954 (I can't quite remember) will show up as fake even when their not. My work doesn't even use the pens anymore for that reason. Instead we run the bills through a machine that detects counterfeits. The pens work a majority of the time though so double check the date on the bill.
