Are hand written shower invites tacky?

I’m trying to cut costs planning this baby shower. Catering already has me keeled over. 😵‍💫The invites that I love on Zazzle are over $100.00 (that doesn’t even include tax or shipping) for 60 invites. And trust me when I tell you I have tried every promo there is. I looked on Amazon for shower invites and I found some cute ones that range between $30-$50, but you have to write in the information. Is it tacky to send out hand written invites to people?

Does nobody use evite anymore ?? Go to evite.com and you can literally customize an invitation of your choice and either download it to your phone or screenshot it and send it to your contacts OR download it and get them printed out somewhere… this is just a sample I was trying out

I don’t think it’s tacky, but do you have a color printer? For my daughters birthday I found an invite on Etsy that i loved, it was super easy to customize and I was able to print it on cardstock and cut them with a paper trimmer (scissors would work but I had the paper trimmer already). I think I paid like $5 for the file, then it was just the cost of the card stock and envelopes, which I already had but I know would be pretty inexpensive to purchase.

I recieved baby shower invites through email and on regular printer paper. It's not a wedding so, I wouldn't worry about being super fancy if you want to cut costs. 
At the end of the day, its all going in the trash so do what makes you feel better and saves  a buck.

You could also try something like vista print? I’ve ordered Christmas cards from them and they were very good quality.
