I made baby’s crib softer!?

Baby ha been sleeping in his bouncer since he was born. He’s now about 6 months old and too big for it and hasn’t been sleeping good in it lately cause he’s too big. I have been moving him to my bed in the middle of the night and he sleeps great. He doesn’t like his crib though. I think the mattress isn’t very comfortable so I folded two throw blankets in half and put them in good crib and then put a tight sheet over it. It’s much nicer but not overly soft. Is this okay? He seemed to be comfy in it during his nap earlier but I’m paranoid. The blankets are folded perfectly even and covers entire mattress so he won’t roll anywhere or get stuck.
